About This Game

Isaac Newton has been thinking on the topic of Optics, and planning a series of experiments. Will you help him conduct them? It is the plague year of 1666 . Dear Isaac has been sent home from his Doctoral studies at Trinity College Cambridge back to Mother in Woolsthorpe Manor . Rainbows, prisms and reason have been his sole companions. It has been quite some time since he set foot outside, but of sound mind and body, he has made some significant progress towards solidifying the Corpuscular Theory of light . He will surely confirm his proofs... if he can just finish this morning's experiment - one that will surely prove no challenge at all to a determined man of Science . Based on a true experiment and featuring several of the writings found in Newton's infamous Waste Book of scientific data and philosophical musings - An Eye for Optical Theory 1666 is a point & click horror adventure game where the player must examine Isaac Newton's surroundings in his room at Woolsthorpe Manor and help guide Isaac to a breakthrough in the field of Optics. It is a short, linear, atmospheric, and narrative focused experience with a retro styled presentation. A good hour's worth of narrative driven tension, psychological horror, and humour Streamlined point & click puzzle solving gameplay Sir Isaac voiced by an AUTHENTIC DOCTOR OF SCIENCE from the REAL UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE Over 100 lines of fully voiced dialogue Retro styled graphics and animations reminiscent of the ZX Spectrum Relive the golden age of the home microcomputer an 8-colour palette and chip synth soundtrack Dynamic soundtrack that responds to the growing sense of threat in the narrative Some sequences feature flashing colours which could potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy.
